Taxi safety
Choose a licensed ride and keep control of your journey.
Before boarding
Use official taxi ranks or a verified booking. Check vehicle identification and the driver’s licence where local rules require it. Confirm the destination, meter or agreed price, and payment method.
During your journey
Wear a seat belt, share trip details with someone you trust, and keep valuables with you. If you feel unsafe, ask to stop in a busy, well-lit public place and contact local emergency services when necessary.
At the airport
Follow signs to official pickup areas. Avoid unsolicited offers inside the terminal. Ask whether airport fees and waiting charges are included, and keep your receipt.
