Taxi vs Uber
Compare the total cost and pickup experience, not just the headline fare.
Metered taxi
A taxi may use a locally regulated meter, with published distance, waiting and airport fees. Official ranks can be convenient at stations and airports. A typical fare is an estimate, not a guaranteed price.
App-based ride
App prices may change with demand, vehicle category and pickup location. Check the final offer, cancellation conditions and airport pickup arrangements before accepting.
Choose the ride that fits
Compare luggage and passenger capacity, accessibility, waiting time, total price and payment options. No service is always cheaper in every city.
